“Floral tondo with orange roses” .
(Original title in french : “Tondo aux roses oranges”)
This oil painting on stretched canvas is 19.6″ diameter (50 cm Ø)
Carried out with a palette knife, in generous strokes, this work is a nod to Rococo and the french Louis XV style, ornamented, light, elegant, Dionysian. This style draws its inspiration from nature, through the use of floral motifs, foliage, curves and arabesques.
The ornamentation is the only pretension of this present artwork flowered with oranges roses on a blue grey background.
The tondo, here a round canvas on a circular stretcher, originates from the Renaissance, when portraits were painted or sculpted on a round format support.
The painting is signed on the front and on the back.
This original artwork will be delivered ready to hang, with an invoice and a signed certificate of authenticity.
Shipping carefully packed and tracked.
