The emerald forest – Oil painting on stretched canvas, 70X70 cm

An imaginary woodland, with shadows, mystery and light through branches under the trees. A kind of weeping forest, with a path of hope through the trees. This is my interpretation of this artwork but we can see absolutely different symbols. This painting is part of my fairy landscapes series. In this series I paint artwork with different medias such mixed media, acrylic, watercolor, drawing and also oil painting, of course.

It’s always a pleasure to invent a world, taking parts from nature and rearrange them in a personnal sensitive way. Though the shadows of this painting, the most important part is the light, sun shining through truncs and branches, illuminating leaves and foliages.

This is an oil painting with glazes and dripping of colors.
Main colors are transparent emerald green and opaque english red for the soil.

This is an original, one of a kind painting. The canvas is stretched on wood stretchers. It comes  ready to hang with a system on the back. Edges are painted in black, so, no need to frame.
