Description

“Bouquet of roses”, mixed media on Arches watercolour paper, 300g, 20″X24″ (51X61 cm).

This painting is done with water-based mediums: watercolour wax pastels, watercolours, watercolour pencils, acrylic, acrylic inks, wax pastels.

Here is a sumptuous floral composition: a very classical bouquet, both sober and elegant, such as one can find in the Loire castles, in Touraine, the region where I live.
The pale pinks and pastel mauves combined with elegant anthracite or bluish greys create a romantic, discreet and soft atmosphere, but with strong contrasts.

A tribute to “French chic”, a timeless style, it will be perfectly displayed in an oversized baroque frame, white ceruse, or gold patina, or even matt black, with a large Marie-Louise. A white margin around the edge of the artwork makes it easy to frame.
