“Purple foliages in the mist”, oil and oil pastels on canvas, 23,6″X23,6″ (60X60cm).

The seasons are inexhaustible sources of inspiration for painters.

This painting is part of a series on autumn and its wonderful colours and lights, between abstraction and impressionism.
I started this series several years ago. Thus, each autumn brings me its ritual of contemplation and admiration of nature.
Here, the silhouette of the foliage is inspired by the raspberry trees in my garden.

The misty atmospheres are fascinating. Especially in the mornings, when the sun rises through the fog and gives a pearly aspect to the translucent light.

A beautiful blue, under the transparent purple lacquer of the foliage, completes this calm and contemporary atmospheric painting.
The colours are soft and muted, pastel tones, white, deep blue, mauve, violet, plum, purple…
White drips appear almost like pearl white in transparency, giving a marmoreal effect, the tears of statues in the garden.
